IMS is a business association that works to develop social responsibility policies among Luxembourg-based companies. It unites Luxembourgish companies that have already developed social responsibility policies or projects with a view to creating a network enabling exchanges and facilitating links between companies and the sectors they are active in (assistance for the professional integration of young people, consultation with local authorities, anticipation of economic changes, etc.).

Girls’ Day: an original concept that takes place every year. Girls’ Day – in which Dexia BIL is an enthusiastic participant – is coordinated by the CID (women’s information and documentation centre) in partnership with the Ministry for Equal Opportunities. It has one simple goal: to encourage young women to develop their full potentials, skills and personal interests. Several young women will therefore be able to spend a day discovering the various jobs available at the bank. Various women occupying key roles at Dexia BIL will share their experience with these young women and help them understand that women clearly have a place working in a financial institution such as Dexia. They will also realise that motivation, commitment and ambition are the keys to success and that it is easily possible to achieve a good work-life balance. The aim is to make young women aware that there is a range of professional options open to them, as their choices are still all too often limited by clichés and traditional ideas.

Since June 2006, the Dexia France Foundation has offered all employees of Dexia Crédit Local the opportunity of sponsoring a young person who is experiencing difficulties, in order to help him/her find a job. As a part of this, they are granted 2 hours per month at their place of work during working hours. In France, over 5% of employees have decided to take part in this scheme.
